Dove color is beautiful but gets very rough "pills" all over in just a few nights

"My husband has been buying me these gowns for years and I love them! This Christmas, he purchased the gown in Dove which I loved. Unfortunately, each night, the gown becomes rougher and rougher on the outside due to "pills" forming on the surface. It is unbearable to wear after just two weeks! I thought it might have just been a fluke so I contacted the company who sent a replacement. I handled it with kid gloves (washing it alone in cold water on delicate cycle and hanging to dry. That made zero difference as it is unwearable after just a couple of weeks. I have this gown in black, red and pink and never had this problem. I love the gowns but the Dove material is not up to the standard of the others. I feel the gowns are pricey but worth it but the Dove gown is not. Too expensive for a couple of weeks of wear."
